RealSystem Server Basicのインストール

　ダウンロードしたReal System Server BasicをLinuxにインストールしてみよう。

　インストールをするためには，rootユーザーとなってダウンロードしたrs-8-01-linux-libc6.binを指定できるカレントディレクトリに移動し，次のように実行しよう。

# ./rs-8-01-linux-libc6.bin


ダウンロードしたrs-8-01-linux-libc6ファイルには実行権限を付けないと実行ができない。実行権限を付けるためには，コマンドラインで「chmod +x rs-8-01-linux-libc6.bin」と指定すればよい。

　実行をするとファイルが展開され，次のようなセットアップ画面が表示される。「Enter」キーを押して次に進もう。

　ライセンスキーの存在するディレクトリ先を入力する画面が表示される。Eメールに添付されて送られてきたライセンスキーのファイル名をフルパスで入力する。

　次のようなメッセージが表示されるので，続けて「Enter」キーを押す。

　ライセンス要項が表示される。次のように同意するかどうかが尋ねられる。ライセンス要項に同意し，Real System Server Basicをインストールするのであれば，「Enter」キーを押して進めよう。

Choose "Accept" to accept the terms of this
license agreement and continue with RealServer setup.
If you do not accept these terms, enter "No"
and installation of RealServer will be cancelled.

　次にReal System Serverを入力するインストール先のディレクトリが尋ねられる。どこにインストールしても構わないが，本稿では「/usr/local/realserver」ディレクトリにインストールすることにした。

Enter the complete path to the directory where you want
RealServer 8.0 to be installed. You must specify the full
pathname of the directory and have write privileges to
the chosen directory [/home/osawa/rserver]: /usr/local/realserver

　次は，Real System Serverを管理するアカウントの作成だ。ここでは「realadmin」という名前を使うことにする。

Please enter a username and password that you will use
to access the web-based RealSystem Administrator, the
RealSystem monitors, and RealSystem live encoders:
Username: realadmin

　次に，その管理用ユーザーのパスワードを設定する。

Password: 設定するパスワードを入力する

　パスワードは確認のためにもういちど問われるので，同じパスワードを再入力する。

Confirm Password: 上記のパスワードと同じものを入力する

　次に，PNAコネション「pnm://......」でアクセスされる時のポート番号を指定する。標準では「7070」となっている。これは，「pnm://.......」の標準ポート番号なので，特に変える必要が無い限り，このまま「Enter」キーを押せばよいだろう。


PNAコネクションは，過去のバージョンのRealPlayerとの互換性のためのプロトコルだ。現在は、RTSTコネクションが主流になっている。

　さらにRTSTコネクション「rtsp://......」でアクセスされる時のポート番号を指定する。標準では「554」となっている。これは「rtsp://......」の標準ポート番号なので，これも変える必要が無ければこのまま「Enter」キーを押せばよい。


RTSTコネクションとは，TCPやUDPなどを利用してRMファイルを配信するためのプロトコルだ。現行バージョン，RMファイル配信の主流である。

　そして，おなじみのHTTPコネクション「http://......」でアクセスされる時のポート番号を指定する。標準では「8080」となっている。ポート8080は，通常のサイトではWebサーバのApacheなどで使うポート80番と重複することが無いため，このままで構わないだろう。「Enter」キーを押すだけでよい。


プロキシ（Proxy）サーバをインストールしている環境では，ポート8080が割り当てられている可能性が高い。その場合には，例えば「8081」などとして適時ポート番号をずらして指定すればよい。

　次に，管理用ページで使用するポート番号を設定する。詳細は後述するが，ここで指定したポート番号にWebブラウザでアクセスすると，Real System Serverの各種設定が行えるのだ。

　標準の管理用ポート番号はランダムに決められる。ここでは，ポート番号が32750になっているが，読者の環境では異なるポート番号が表示されていると思われる。

　このままのポート番号でよければ「Enter」キーを，そぐわない場合には意識的に設定したいポート番号を入力して「Enter」キーを押す。本稿では，以下の説明を統一するため，管理用のページで使うポート番号は10080に固定するとしよう。そこで10080と入力し，「Enter」キーを押す。

　最後に確認のためのメッセージが表示される。これまでの設定で問題がなければ，「F」キーを押す。

上記ではパスワードが「*」で隠されているが，実際には入力したパスワードがそのまま表示されているはずだ。


パスワードは，後述するrmserver.cfgファイルやdefault.cfgファイルに暗号化されず直接書き込まれる。よって，これらのファイルはReal System Serverの管理者以外には参照できないようにchmodコマンドで読み取り権限を限定しておくべきだ。

　ここまでの操作で，Real System Server Basicがインストール開始される。インストールが完了すると，次のように表示されてReal System Serverが起動される。管理画面を表示するかが尋ねられる。「Enter」キーを押せば，管理画面が表示されるのだが，ここでの環境Red Hat Linuxではうまく動作しないため，「No」と入力し起動しないことにしている。もちろん後からでも設定が可能だ。
